  • 50 ml gin

  • 25 ml elderflower liqueur

Preparation:

  1. Main Mix:

    • Add the gin, elderflower liqueur, and sweet & sour mix to a cocktail shaker.

    • Fill the shaker with ice cubes.

  2. Shaking:

    • Secure the shaker lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This step ensures all ingredients are well mixed and the cocktail is properly chilled.

  3. Serving:

    • Strain the mixture into a highball glass.

    • Top up with soda water and stir gently.

    • Garnish the rim of the glass with a lemon slice.

    • Add fresh mint leaves on top for an appealing presentation.

Serving Suggestions:

  • Serve this cocktail in a highball glass and garnish the rim with a lemon slice for an attractive look.

  • Accompany with a few fresh mint leaves for a delightful presentation.

Extra Tips:

  • Sweetness Balance: If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, you can increase the amount of sweet & sour mix. Ensure the mixture is fully homogeneous.

  • Chilling the Glass: For an extra refreshing experience, chill your glass in the freezer for a few minutes before serving the cocktail. This helps keep the drink cold for longer.

Flavor Enhancements:

  • Herbal Twist: Add a few fresh mint leaves to the shaker before shaking to introduce a subtle herbal note that complements the elderflower and gin.

  • Citrus Burst: For an added citrus burst, you can include a splash of lemon juice or a few drops of lemon bitters in the mix.

This cocktail, with its elegant elderflower and gin aromas, is a refreshing and delicious choice. Enjoy!
